THE IMC LONDON PROMO LAUNCH SHOWCASE NIGHT
5 up and coming artists, songwriters, and producers will perform live. These acts will be judged and critiqued, whoever wins will receive the opportunity to perform at IMC Atlanta and an all access pass for 5 additional guests for IMC Atlanta.

DOORS OPEN: 7:30PM
ARTIST PERFORMANCES: 8:15PM
WINNER ANNOUNCED/ NETWORKING: 9:30PM-11:30PM
Artists, Producers, Songwriters, (please note, we will be selecting 5 acts to participate in each category. If in a group, collective or duo, each member will need to register separately). Join us for a special panel discussion with industry experts who will outline to aspiring artists, producers, songwriters etc how to crack into foreign market place successfully.

In this panel, we get right “down to business.” Find out from our panel of experts about the new business strategies and revenue streams available for emerging international artists. Also, learn the importance of balancing your creative and business endeavors for a thriving music career. We’ll explore everything you need to know about getting your legal and business house in order. Think Jay Z: “I’m not a businessman, I’m a business, man.”

Engage in honest talk and receive valuable critiques from chart-topping songwriters, producers, and industry executives in this song listening session where a limited number of pre-submitted songs will be given feedback in front of a musically engaged audience.

The role of the Artist & Repertoire is constantly evolving and this special Q&A will focus on their new changing roles. Hear about the daily activities of our special guest and which kinds of talent they have their eye on in 2013. What do they do when they receive new music? Also, find out how the new music business models have changed the way A&Rs go about finding, signing, and promoting fresh talent. In the end, you’ll learn how much work the A&R does and how much work they expect to already be done by the artist.

3PM – 4PM: Press, Marketing & Publicity Panel
A hit song or hit album cannot reach its full potential without the proper media exposure. Journalists, critics, and bloggers hold major influence on the amount of exposure a particular music project may receive. As such, pr professionals work overtime to ensure their clients adequate coverage. You’ll hear how these top journalists and publicists work together and have had to leverage social media like they never have before.
4:15PM – 5PM: MASTER SESSION WITH CELEBRITY GUEST (TBC)
Learn more about your favorite artist in this unique in person interview. Our celebrity guest will divulge what it took for them to make it in the business, the struggles they endured, and how they overcame them. IMC registrants will get the opportunity to ask their own questions.

- Artists will get the opportunity to perform up to one (1) song each
- Artists must be available for sound check
- This is a competition, whoever wins will receive the opportunity to perform at IMC Atlanta with 5 additional passes
Notes for producers and songwriters:
- Feedback comes on a first come, first serve basis
- Please bring your songs on a CD
- Songwriters, please submit one track including first verse, chorus/ hook
- Producers, please submit one track instrumental only
- The song you submitted must be an original work, either written or co-written by you
- You will get the opportunity to play one (1) track only, should the panelists request to hear more, please have two (2) additional songs on standby. Three (3) songs max
